Gibson Praise can read peoples thoughts, and uses his gift to win in chess. The guy he is playing chess with is killed, and the investigation is lead by Agent Jeffrey Spender. Mulder finds out that the real target was Gibson, and that Gibson is psychic. The Cigarette Smoking Man returns from death to kill Gibson.

A woman Mulder used to work with in the past, Agent Diana Fowley, returns, and Scully doesn`t like it.

Gibson s kidnapped, Diana gets shot and the X-files is burned down, all of it done by CSM.
